My summer plan

I was supposed to go to UCLA on this university’s summer program. I found that there is summer program for UCLA for KUIS students when I was a high school student. In order to go to UCLA, I started part-time-job when I was in the second grade, although we are not allowed to do. It was so hard for me to do part-time-job and school work. I had school Saturdays and joined club activity. It was just hard to do both at that time. I was sometimes sleeping during the class. I knew that it is rude to sleep in classes. And I really don’t want to sleep, but I couldn’t control myself.

I couldn’t make enough money from part-time job, but I was planning to beg my parents.

When I went to the orientation for UCLA with excitement, I could tell that it is not what I expected. We have to stay at dormitory with two other students. They provide us with only 17 meals a week, it means we have to buy or go to restaurant. There is no fridge in the rooms. We have to buy even water everyday. One of my friends who is sophomore right now went to UCLA on this summer program last year, so I asked him a lot of questions. He told me that he traveled around California and spent much money there. I thought that it was really a waste of money. I was really looking forward to going there and I worked hard for it. His story was sounded like jut having good time. He must have spent too much money I suppose. I really wanted to go but I decided not to. It is very pity that I can’t go there.

My other summer plans are to go my grandmother’s house and BH again, hang out with my friends a lot, study and do part-time-job. My grandmother lives in Tokushima alone. I love meals she makes. I am quite looking forward to going and seeing famous traditional dance called Awaodori.

It seems I will be busy. I hope that I will enjoy a lot during summer vacation with my friends and family.
You are going back to England, Kamsin? Have fun there.

I hope that you all have a great time.

I'm going back to England for about a week and a half at the end of August and beginning of September. I'm looking forward to seeing my family. But I will be in Japan for most of the summer.
Anyway, have fun!
